HIS and EMR software for private providers in Qatar

A private clinic in Doha and a specialist hospital face different demands, but both need a clinical record that supports the next decision. The clinician needs the patient history and results. The front desk needs a clear appointment and billing workflow. The manager needs to know which documents, credentials and actions require attention.

NextHealth brings those needs into a product discussion that starts with your facility’s services. NXH Care is the clinical and billing platform, NXH Engage supports patient relationships, and NXH Flow holds operational and governance evidence. You can scope them separately or review the shared records available when they are combined.

Qatar’s licensing, insurance and privacy context

The Ministry of Public Health and its Department of Healthcare Professions provide the facility and professional context for your implementation. QHIS is part of the ministry’s health insurance environment. Confirm the requirements that apply to your facility, payer arrangements and service lines rather than treating the national programme name as a complete interface specification.

A QHIS claims connection or QHIS-Hub clinical exchange is not confirmed for Care. The required coding variant, transaction messages and activation process need a technical review. General ICD-10 lookup does not establish ICD-10-AM or ACHI availability, and a billing record is not proof that a payer has accepted a claim.

Qatar’s Personal Data Privacy Protection Law and NCSA guidance belong in the information-governance review. Assess health information handling, access permissions and the applicable processing conditions. Hosting, backup location and support access should be agreed before patient data is loaded. Confirm the specific conditions that apply to your organisation and the proposed deployment.

Choose the workflows your facility needs

Care Clinics supports outpatient appointments, documentation, prescribing and billing. Clinics Pro adds laboratory, radiology and claims; Hospitals adds inpatient and nursing workflows. Emergency and theatre remain under completion, so assess their availability before planning a dependent service.

Engage can support private dental, aesthetic and specialist clinics with booking, packages, memberships and patient relationship records. Flow provides controlled documents, policy approvals, credential records, incidents and complaints for the responsible team to review. The current product interface is English; an Arabic interface is not claimed.

NextHealth is Alpha Health Group’s software division. The group’s healthcare operations and accreditation consulting background in Abu Dhabi and Dubai informs these workflows, without implying a Qatar office, local endorsement or completed national-platform onboarding.

Review a patient journey before committing

Bring an outpatient or inpatient journey, the payer information it produces and an inspection question. Use the demonstration to agree product scope, coding, interfaces, hosting and the evidence your accountable staff will sign off.

Bring three things to your Qatar demo

A useful first conversation starts with your own work, not a feature list.

Book a demo
  1. A patient encounter

One representative visit, from registration to the signed clinical record.

  2. A payer or payment workflow

The claim, invoice or package your team handles most, and the response it needs.

  3. An evidence question

One licensing, quality or inspection requirement you need to be able to show.

Common questions

Start with Care Clinics for outpatient documentation and billing, or Clinics Pro where laboratory, radiology and claims are needed. Add Engage for patient relationship workflows and selected Flow modules for operational evidence.

A live QHIS claims connection is not confirmed. The facility’s transaction requirements, receiving specifications, testing and activation must be reviewed before the proposed implementation includes operational submission.

A QHIS-Hub connection is not confirmed in the product evidence. Clinical exchange requirements need a separate review from insurance claims, including the data scope, receiving profile and evidence of successful testing.

General ICD-10 lookup is confirmed, but it does not establish ICD-10-AM or ACHI coverage. Check the required coding sets, versions and permitted use against your facility’s applicable requirements before agreeing the scope.

Review hosting, backups and support access during project scoping. NextHealth uses an in-country cloud region wherever regulation requires it; the actual Qatar environment and contractual responsibilities need confirmation before go-live.

No. Flow holds selected documents, credentials, investigation records and actions for review. Your facility must assess its practice and satisfy the relevant licensing or accreditation process through its accountable people.
