Laboratories and diagnostic centres handling patient results
For laboratories and diagnostics
Keep requests, specimens and results connected to the patient record. Help your team follow the work from collection to review, with billing and diagnostic scope chosen for your centre.

Extend the record into quality review
Begin with Care Clinics Pro for laboratory requests, laboratory work and radiology alongside the outpatient record and claims scope. Select Flow Quality for available internal audit tools and Flow Documents for controlled facility records. These are separate commercial modules, even when the team evaluates them together. Where a health data exchange is needed, review the regulatory pack, licensing and connection scope for the site. Confirm analyser and imaging connections individually before relying on a specific device workflow.
Keep the result linked to the request
Diagnostic teams work across several handovers: the request, patient identification, collection, receipt, processing and clinical review. The person receiving a result needs to understand which patient and request it belongs to, while the laboratory needs a traceable specimen record.
Care Clinics Pro includes Lab orders and results, Laboratory and Radiology. Specimens can be labelled with barcodes at collection and received by scan. LOINC-coded tests and results returned to the requesting clinician keep the diagnostic work connected to the patient record. The same plan also includes claims and approvals where those are part of the centre’s scope.
Review evidence and connections separately
For quality work, evaluate Flow Quality’s available audit tools and Flow Documents for document versions, signatures and dates. These records can support preparation for an ISO 15189 assessment, but software use does not award accreditation or replace laboratory quality judgement.
Bring a sample request and specimen journey to the demonstration. Inspect collection, receipt and result review, then discuss the actual analyser and imaging setup. No named analyser middleware or universal device connection is promised; each interface needs a site-specific technical assessment before it enters the agreed implementation scope.
Common questions
-
Care Clinics Pro includes Lab orders and results, Laboratory and Radiology alongside the outpatient platform. Care Hospitals also includes the Pro scope; select the plan according to the facility’s wider needs.
-
Yes. The described workflow labels specimens at collection and receives them by scan. Demonstrate your request and collection process to review how that sequence fits the laboratory.
-
No universal analyser connection is claimed. Confirm the specific device, interface and site requirements with the product team before including analyser connectivity in the implementation scope.
-
No. Records and audit tools can support evidence preparation, including for ISO 15189 review, but accreditation depends on the laboratory’s systems, practice and assessment by the relevant body.
-
The broader Flow Quality indicators capability is still being completed. Available clinical audit tools and document workflows can be evaluated separately without assuming live indicator dashboards or automatic calculations.
