Clinical audits

NextHealth Flow

Sold on its own, or with Flow Documents

Clinical audits gives quality teams ready-made audit tools in NextHealth Flow for the checks a facility repeats every month: hand hygiene, patient identification and clinical handover from the International Patient Safety Goals, medication errors, needle-stick injuries, PPE, room disinfection, staff immunisation and sterilisation testing. Each audit is completed on its checklist and scored when it is submitted, and the results are kept month by month so they can be compared over time.

Why it is hard to do well

What gets audited every month gets better

The audits you run every month, ready to use

Quality teams repeat the same audits month after month, often on paper forms that then have to be typed up. Flow Quality gives them the audit tools ready to use.

The checks that matter

Audit tools cover hand hygiene, patient identification and clinical handover from the International Patient Safety Goals, as well as medication errors, needle-stick injuries, PPE, room disinfection, staff immunisation and sterilisation testing.

Scored on the spot

An auditor completes the checklist on the ward, for example the fourteen steps of hand washing watched for one member of staff, and Flow scores it the moment it is submitted.

Seen over time

Results are kept month by month, so quality teams can see which areas improve and where practice slips. Every audit stays in its tool with its score and the member of staff it was done on. The tools sit with the patient safety indicators they measure.
