HIS evaluation for Singapore’s connected-care requirements

For a private clinic or specialist group in Singapore, the system chosen today must be assessed against both clinical work and the national information-sharing environment. Recording a diagnosis in an EMR is one task; contributing the required information through an accepted NEHR arrangement is another.

NextHealth invites Singapore providers to review its clinical, patient relationship and governance workflows as a prospective implementation. This is a readiness discussion, not a claim that NextHealth is already an approved Singapore HIMS vendor.

Local programmes and regulatory context

MOH’s Health Information Act programme places NEHR contribution and security requirements at the centre of the discussion. Its current HIMS guidance describes connectivity, national coding and governance requirements, including Cyber Essentials for HIMS vendors and data-portability expectations.

Care’s general exchange capability does not establish formal HIA conformity, a directory listing, NEHR onboarding or the required security certification. These are material implementation gates. Singapore’s PDPA and the applicable healthcare information rules also need to be considered in the organisation’s processing and access arrangements.

How NextHealth fits

Care can demonstrate appointments, structured notes, prescribing, diagnostics and billing within the chosen plan. Review the information required by your clinic and the corresponding national contribution requirements without assuming a completed mapping.

Engage supports booking, packages and patient relationships; Flow holds documents, credentials, incidents and complaints. National clinical information must not be treated as an unrestricted marketing data source. The facility’s purpose, access and permission decisions remain separate from the availability of campaign tools.

Care Clinics supports outpatient records and billing. Clinics Pro adds laboratory, radiology and claims; Hospitals adds inpatient and nursing workflows. Emergency and theatre remain under completion. Flow Quality indicators is also unfinished, so these capabilities must be reviewed separately before a rollout depends on them.

NextHealth Technologies is the software division of Alpha Health Group, a healthcare operator based in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Experience running facilities and consulting on accreditation informs the product’s attention to clinical records, staff responsibilities and reviewable evidence.

Plan the country scope

Begin with the clinic’s required record and contribution workflow, then review certification, onboarding, portability and security evidence. Confirm the applicable implementation phase with current MOH guidance. English is the current product interface; no grant eligibility, local deployment or accepted NEHR contribution is claimed.

Bring three things to your Singapore demo

A useful first conversation starts with your own work, not a feature list.

Book a demo
  1. A patient encounter

One representative visit, from registration to the signed clinical record.

  2. A payer or payment workflow

The claim, invoice or package your team handles most, and the response it needs.

  3. An evidence question

One licensing, quality or inspection requirement you need to be able to show.

Common questions

No HIA certification, certified-provider directory listing or required Cyber Essentials for HIMS certification is claimed. These requirements need demonstrated evidence before a Singapore clinical deployment depends on the system.

A live NEHR contribution workflow is not confirmed. General exchange functionality does not establish national coding coverage, accepted data contribution, provider onboarding or completion of the applicable certification requirements.

Do not assume national clinical information can be reused for marketing. Engage campaign functionality does not grant access or permission; the organisation must assess permitted purposes and applicable restrictions separately.

Grant eligibility is not asserted. Confirm the current scheme conditions and any vendor or system eligibility directly before budgeting for support; a market page is not evidence of programme approval.

Agree the actual hosting region, backups and support access before implementation. NextHealth uses an in-country cloud region wherever regulation requires it; this page does not assert that a local environment is already provisioned.
