Telehealth

NextHealth Care

An add-on for any Care product that does not already include it

Telehealth adds video consultations to NextHealth Care without a second system. A doctor's schedule can offer telehealth slots, and each booked video visit appears in today's list with its status: waiting to connect, in session or completed. The doctor opens the video room, the patient joins through a private link that needs no account, and the notes, diagnoses and prescriptions go into the same visit record as an in-person consultation.

What it covers

  • Telehealth slots on the doctor's schedule
  • Today's video visits: waiting, in session and completed
  • A private join link for the patient, no account needed
  • Video room started from the visit
  • Notes, diagnoses and prescriptions in the same visit record
Why it is hard to do well

Remote care still has to land in the patient's record

Video visits that belong to the record

Video calls made on a consumer app leave the clinical record behind. In NextHealth Care, a telehealth visit is booked, held and documented in the same place as every other visit.

Booking

Doctors' schedules can be set up to offer telehealth slots, so the front desk books a video visit exactly as it books an in-person one.

On the day

The telehealth list shows the day's video visits and where each one stands: waiting to connect, in session or completed, with search by patient name or MRN. The doctor starts the session from the visit and opens the video room.

For the patient

The patient receives a private link and joins from a browser, with no account to create and no app to install.

Afterwards

The consultation is documented in the patient's visit record, with the same notes, diagnoses and prescriptions as a visit in the clinic, so the history stays in one place.
