Point of sale

NextHealth Engage

Part of the Billing and point of sale add-on

Point of sale turns a completed visit or a walk-in purchase into a VAT invoice and a payment in NextHealth Engage. It sells services, retail products, gift cards and wallet top-ups, applies offers and promo codes, and splits revenue between practitioners. Payment can be cash, card terminal, wallet, gift card or points, plus Stripe or Tabby where the clinic has an account. Corrections are made with credit notes, and each till is reconciled at close.

What it covers

  • Services, products and gift cards in one sale
  • Cash, card, wallet, gift card and points, split up to four ways
  • VAT invoices, credit notes and voids with reasons
  • Retail stock by batch with expiry and reorder alerts
  • Cash counter, receivables and billing reports
Why it is hard to do well

Every dirham at the desk should have a record

Checkout the finance team can rely on

At the desk, speed matters. At month end, accuracy does. The NextHealth Engage point of sale serves both.

What a sale can include

Services, retail products with their batch, gift cards, wallet top-ups and custom lines, each with its VAT class. Offers and promo codes apply discounts, and if a price changes during checkout, Engage asks the cashier to confirm the new total.

Taking payment

  • Cash, card terminal, wallet credit, gift card and loyalty points

  • Online payments through Stripe and Tabby, for clinics with an account

  • Up to four methods in one payment

Invoices, stock and the till

Invoices move through draft, issued, partially paid, paid and overdue; an issued invoice is corrected with a credit note or voided with a reason. Retail stock is received by batch, with alerts for low, expiring and expired stock. Each cashier opens a till with a float and closes it with a count, and Engage shows the variance.

Billing reports cover payments by method, VAT, receivables by age and revenue by service or practitioner.
